Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked spiral-cut ham 8 to 10 pounds
  • 1 cup water or apple juice
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Equipment

  • Large roasting pan
  • Aluminum foil
  • Instant-read thermometer
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Place the ham cut side down in a roasting pan with the liquid and cover with foil.
  2. Bake at 325°F for about 12 minutes per pound until 130°F.
  3. Simmer the glaze ingredients for 5 minutes.
  4. Brush on half the glaze and bake uncovered 15 minutes.
  5. Tip: Glaze late so the sugar doesn't burn.
  6. Brush on the rest, bake until 140°F, and rest 15 minutes.

Notes

Use a fully cooked ham; you are just reheating it.
