Ingredients

  • 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1/2 cup Halloween sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup candy eyeballs
  • 1 cup orange and black M&M's

Equipment

  • Very large mixing bowl
  • Large zip-top bag (for coating in sugar)
  • Parchment-lined baking sheet

Method

  1. Place the cereal in a large bowl.
  2. Microwave the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in 30-second bursts, stirring, until smooth. Stir in the vanilla.
  3. Pour over the cereal and fold gently until coated.
  4. Transfer to a large zip-top bag with the powdered sugar and shake to coat.
  5. Tip: Let the coating cool a minute so the sugar does not clump.
  6. Spread on parchment and let set 10 minutes.
  7. Toss with the candy corn, sprinkles, candy eyes, and M&M's.

Notes

Add candy only after the coating has set.
Keeps up to 1 week in an airtight container.
