Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets 6 ounces each
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Equipment

  • Rimmed baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small saucepan

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and whisk the glaze ingredients.
  2. Pat the salmon dry, place on a lined sheet, and spoon over most of the glaze.
  3. Tip: Dry fish helps the glaze stick.
  4. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until it reaches 135°F to 140°F.
  5. Simmer the reserved glaze for 2 to 3 minutes and brush it over the salmon.
  6. Broil 1 minute if desired and garnish.

Notes

Use real maple syrup for the best flavor.
Salmon continues to cook slightly as it rests.
